Systematic reviews are key to evidence-based medicine as they form the highest levels of evidence. They are designed to provide a complete exhaustive summary of current evidence relevant to a research question.

The aim of the workshop is to provide an insight in to systematic reviews and their implementation in healthcare practice by professionals.

Learning Objectives

  • Gain an understanding of the theoretical aspect of evidence-based medicine
  • Provide a structured approach for systematic review protocol development
  • Develop skills in undertaking a systematic search, and steps to compile, summarize and interpret the gathered evidence.

Target audience

Health care researchers especially clinicians, allied health professionals, postgraduate residents, students who are already familiar with / or involved in research.

NB:  This workshop is aimed at mid-career researchers aiming to conduct a systematic review. It is not suitable for individuals seeking to learn about basic research.
